Oil Filter Adapter
Removal
With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to
Section 100-02
.
Remove the 3 bolts and lower the underbody shield.
Remove and discard the engine oil filter.
Disconnect the Engine Oil Pressure (EOP) switch electrical connector.
Remove the 5 bolts and the oil filter adapter.
Discard the gasket.
Clean and inspect all sealing surfaces.
Installation
Using a new gasket, install the oil filter adapter and the 5 bolts and tighten in sequence shown.
Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in) and then an additional 45 degrees.
Connect the
EOP
switch electrical connector.
NOTE:
Do not lubricate the engine oil filter gasket.
Install a new engine oil filter.
Tighten to 5 Nm (44 lb-in) and then rotate an additional 180 degrees.
Raise the underbody shield and install the 3 bolts.
Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
