Coolant Pump — 5.8L (4V)

Coolant Pump and Pulley

Removal

  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining, Filling and Bleeding .
  1. Drain the SC cooling system. Refer to Section 303-03B .
    1. To install, tighten to 8 Nm (71 lb-in).
    1. To install, tighten to 8 Nm (71 lb-in).
  1. Loosen the 4 coolant pump pulley bolts.
  1. Remove the accessory drive belt. Refer to Section 303-05 .
  1. Rotate the SC belt tensioner clockwise and remove the SC belt off the SC .
  1. Remove the 4 coolant pump pulley bolts and the coolant pump pulley.
  1. Release the clamp and disconnect the lower radiator hose from the coolant pump.
  1. Remove the 4 bolts and the coolant pump.

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  1. Fill and bleed the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining, Filling and Bleeding .
  1. Fill and bleed the SC cooling system. Refer to Section 303-03B .
