REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

Throttle Body

5.0L (4V)

Removal and Installation

  1. If equipped, remove the 4 nuts and the strut tower cross brace.

  1. NOTE: The engine appearance cover rubber grommets may remain on the cover. If so, remove the grommets from the cover and install them on the intake manifold before installing the cover.

    Remove the engine appearance cover.
  1. Remove the Air Cleaner (ACL) outlet pipe, refer to Section 303-12 .
  1. Disconnect the electronic throttle control electrical connector.
  1. Remove the 4 bolts and the Throttle Body (TB)

Installation

  1. Using a new gasket, position the TB and install the 4 bolts loosely.
  1. While holding the TB in the most upward position tighten the 4 bolts in 2 stages.
  1. Connect the electronic throttle control electrical connector.
  1. Install the Air Cleaner (ACL) outlet pipe, refer to Section 303-12 .

  1. NOTE: The engine appearance cover rubber grommets may remain on the cover. If so, remove the grommets from the cover and install them on the intake manifold before installing the cover.

    Install the engine appearance cover.
  1. Install the strut tower cross brace and the 4 nuts.
