Removal

  1. Remove the 8 pin-type retainers and the upper air deflector.
  1. Remove the Air Cleaner (ACL) assembly, the ACL outlet pipe and the ACL inlet pipe. Refer to Section 303-12 .
  1. Remove the 2 bolts and position the degas bottle aside.
  1. Disconnect the cooling fan electrical connector.
  1. Remove the 4 bolts and the upper radiator support brackets.
  1. Remove the 2 A/C condenser bolts.
  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to Section 100-02 .
  1. Remove the 3 bolts and lower the underbody shield.
  1. Remove the 13 screws and the lower radiator sight shield.
  1. Remove the 2 nuts and position the A/C condenser forward.
  1. Remove both transmission fluid cooler tube quick connect secondary latches.
  1. Using the Transmission Cooler Line Disconnect Tool, disconnect the transmission cooler tube assemblies.
  1. Remove the transmission fluid cooler tube-to-fan shroud bolt.
  1. Remove the 2 transmission fluid cooler screws.
  1. Lift and remove the transmission fluid cooler from the retaining pockets.

Installation

  1. Install the transmission fluid cooler into the retaining pockets.
  1. Install the 2 transmission fluid cooler screws.
  1. Install the transmission fluid cooler tube-to-fan shroud bolt.
  1. Connect the transmission cooler tube assemblies.
  1. Install both transmission fluid cooler tube quick connect secondary latches.
  1. Position the A/C condenser back and install the 2 nuts.
  1. Install the lower radiator sight shield and 13 screws.
  1. Position the underbody shield and install the 3 bolts.
  1. Install the 2 A/C condenser bolts.
  1. Install the upper radiator support brackets and 4 bolts.
  1. Connect the cooling fan electrical connector.
  1. Position the degas bottle and install the 2 bolts.
  1. Install the Air Cleaner (ACL) assembly, the ACL outlet pipe and the ACL inlet pipe. Refer to Section 303-12 .
  1. Install the upper air deflector and 8 pin-type retainers.
  1. Fill the transmission with fluid and verify correct operation. Refer to Transmission Fluid Level Check in Section 307-01 .
