REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

Removal and Installation

  1. Disconnect the battery. For additional information, refer to Section 414-01 .
  1. Remove the Air Cleaner (ACL) outlet pipe and ACL assembly. For additional information, refer to Section 303-12 .
  1. Remove the ACL inlet pipe from the radiator support. For additional information, refer to Section 303-12 .
  1. Remove the Front End Accessory Drive (FEAD) belt tensioner. For additional information, refer to Section 303-05 .
  1. Position the generator B+ protective boot aside, remove the B+ nut and position the B+ terminal aside.
  1. Disconnect the generator electrical connector.
  1. Remove the upper generator stud nut.
  1. Remove the upper generator stud.
  1. Remove the lower generator bolt and the generator.
  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
