Information and Entertainment System
Functional Components
The functional components of the audio systems are:
- Accessory Protocol Interface Module (APIM) (with SYNC®)
 - AM/FM antenna cable
 - AM/FM antenna, located on the right rear quarter panel
 - Audio 
 amplifier, located in left instrument panel area above the kick panel (with Shaker and Shaker Pro)
 - Audio Front Control Module (ACM)
 - Audio input jack, located on the inside front of the floor console storage compartment
 - Clockspring
 - Front Controls Interface Module (FCIM)
 - Front Display Interface Module (FDIM)
 - Global Positioning System (GPS) antenna, integral to the satellite radio antenna (with navigation)
 - Global Positioning System Module (GPSM), located behind the glove box (with SYNC® and without navigation)
 - Luggage compartment subwoofer amplifier, located on the right side of the luggage compartment (with Shaker Pro)
 - Microphone, located in the overhead console
 - Satellite radio antenna cable
 - Satellite radio antenna, located on the luggage compartment lid
 - Speakers (see Audio Line-Up for locations)
 - Subwoofer enclosure, located in the right side of the luggage compartment (with Shaker Pro)
 - Universal Serial Bus (USB) port/cable, located on the inside front of the floor console storage compartment (with SYNC®)
 
Audio Line-Up
The vehicle is equipped with one of the following audio systems:
Premium 
- AM/FM single CD 
 with MP3 playback (without navigation)
 - Four speakers
- One in each door
 - Two in the rear package tray (coupe), or one in each quarter panel (convertible)
 
 
Shaker 
- AM/FM single CD 
 with MP3 playback (without navigation)
 - AM/FM single CD 
 with MP3 playback, 
 Radio®, and DVD playback (with navigation)
 - Eight speakers
- One assembly in each door containing two speakers
 - One subwoofer in each door
 - Two in the rear package tray (coupe), or one in each quarter panel (convertible)
 
 - Audio

Shaker Pro 
- AM/FM single CD 
 with MP3 playback (without navigation)
 - AM/FM single CD 
 with MP3 playback,

 - Single-speaker subwoofer enclosure in the luggage compartment

MyKey® Audio Operation
When a MyKey® is in use, the following restrictions are activated:
- The audio system is muted until the safety belts are buckled when the Belt-Minder® feature is activated. The MyKey® "BUCKLE UP TO UNMUTE AUDIO" is displayed in the information display.
- This is a standard setting and cannot be changed.
 
 - When the Volume Limiter is set to On, the audio system volume is limited to 45%. In an attempt to exceed the limited volume, the MyKey® VOLUME LIMITED message is displayed in the centerstack infotainment display.
- This is an optional setting.

Navigation System
The navigation system consists of the following:
-  antenna
 - Microphone, located in the overhead console
 - Satellite radio/
 splitter cable (part of the front satellite radio antenna cable)
 
The 
 controls the operation of the navigation system and the audio system. The system uses a 
 antenna, vehicle speed input, and other sensor information to accurately establish the vehicle position.
Satellite Radio
The satellite radio system is comprised of the following:
- Satellite radio receiver built-in to the 
 - Stand-alone satellite radio antenna (without navigation)
 - Combination satellite radio/
 antenna (with navigation)
 - Satellite radio antenna cables
- The satellite radio antenna cables connect the satellite radio antenna to the 
.
 
 
Speed Compensated Volume
The 
 adjusts the audio system volume based on the 
 signal to compensate for speed and wind noise.
When a MyKey® is in use and the MyKey® radio volume limiter is enabled, the speed compensated volume is disabled.
SYNC® System
The SYNC® system consists of the following:
- Audio input jack
 - Microphone (contained in the overhead console)
 - SYNC®-specific steering wheel switches
 -  port and cable
 
SYNC® is a hands-free communications and entertainment system that allows the following interactions:
- Connect media devices (such as an iPod® or 
 flash device) in order to play audio files
 - Control the entertainment system using voice controls.
 - Initiate an emergency assistance call (911 Assist™) when the airbags deploy
 - Play media files via a paired Bluetooth-enabled audio device
 - Produce vehicle health reports
 - Send and receive phone calls via a paired Bluetooth-enabled phone
 - Send and receive text messages via a paired Bluetooth-enabled phone
 
All features are not available with every phone.
SYNC® Traffic, Directions and Information
The SYNC® traffic, directions and information service is a subscription-based service that provides hands-free access to turn-by-turn directions, personalized real-time traffic updates with text alerts, business search, entertainment, news, sports, stocks, travel and weather. The customer's mobile phone is used to access and download the SYNC® services. The 
 antenna, integral to the 
, is used to detect the location and direction of the vehicle. For traffic, directions, and information services subscription, refer to the
