Information and Entertainment System

Functional Components

The functional components of the audio systems are:

Audio Line-Up

The vehicle is equipped with one of the following audio systems:

MyKey® Audio Operation

When a MyKey® is in use, the following restrictions are activated:

Navigation System

The navigation system consists of the following:

The ACM controls the operation of the navigation system and the audio system. The system uses a GPS antenna, vehicle speed input, and other sensor information to accurately establish the vehicle position.

Satellite Radio

The satellite radio system is comprised of the following:

Speed Compensated Volume

The ACM adjusts the audio system volume based on the VSS signal to compensate for speed and wind noise.

When a MyKey® is in use and the MyKey® radio volume limiter is enabled, the speed compensated volume is disabled.

SYNC® System

The SYNC® system consists of the following:

SYNC® is a hands-free communications and entertainment system that allows the following interactions:

All features are not available with every phone.

SYNC® Traffic, Directions and Information

The SYNC® traffic, directions and information service is a subscription-based service that provides hands-free access to turn-by-turn directions, personalized real-time traffic updates with text alerts, business search, entertainment, news, sports, stocks, travel and weather. The customer's mobile phone is used to access and download the SYNC® services. The GPS antenna, integral to the GPSM , is used to detect the location and direction of the vehicle.
