Fog Lamp Bulb

Removal

 WARNING: The bulb contains gas under pressure. The bulb may shatter if the glass envelope is scratched or if the bulb is dropped. Handle the bulb only by its base. Avoid touching the glass envelope. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury.

NOTE: The fog lamp bulb should not be removed from the fog lamp until just before a new bulb is installed. Removing the bulb for an extended period of time can affect fog lamp bulb performance. Contaminants can enter the fog lamp where they can settle on the lens and reflector. Never turn on the fog lamps with the bulb removed.

NOTE: Make sure the headlamp switch and the ignition switch are in the OFF position.

3.7L vehicles

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to Section 100-02 .
  1. Three on each side.
  1. To install, tighten to 1.9 Nm (17 lb-in).

5.0L Vehicles

NOTE: The fog lamp bulb can be accessed without removing the front bumper cover.

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to Section 100-02 .
  1. Three on each side.
  1. To install, tighten to 3.2 Nm (28 lb-in).
  1. To install, tighten to 3.2 Nm (28 lb-in).

GT500 vehicles

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to Section 100-02 .
  1. On each side.
  1. To install, tighten to 3.2 Nm (28 lb-in).
  1. To install, tighten to 3.2 Nm (28 lb-in).
  1. On each side.

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
