Removal and Installation

Both fenders

  1. Remove the front bumper cover. For additional information, refer to Section 501-19 .
  1. Remove the fender splash shield. For additional information, refer to Fender Splash Shield in this section.

  1. NOTE: The rocker panel pin-type retainers are one-time-use only. New pin-type retainers must be installed.

    Remove the 4 front rocker panel pin-type retainers and position the rocker panel aside.
  1. Remove the 2 lower fender bolts.
  1. Remove the front fender bolt.
  1. Remove the rear fender bolt through the door opening.
  1. Remove the front bumper cover bracket bolts.
  1. Remove the front bumper cover bracket.

Right fender

  1. Disconnect the hood ajar switch.

Both fenders

  1. Remove the 4 upper fender bolts and the fender.
  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
